It's time to change the tubes out in my Mesa Engineering DC-5 tube amplifier. As a relic of the 1990's, this amp has provided years of joy and great tone so, to me, it is worth maintaining. If you were wondering how to change tubes in a Mesa amp, well here we go! Mesa Engineering encourages customers to re-tube their boogie amps with Mesa tubes as they have been matched and tested to perform exactly as imagined. This makes the re-tubing process a little easier for the player as there is no need for biasing of the amp after re-tubing. You can hear this amp on my recording called
