A postdoctoral researcher at the University of Toronto, Dr. Gibb also teaches at the Munk School of Global Affairs. Her research has brought her to the Philippines, Ghana, the United States and Canada. Outside academia, she has worked as a consultant for United Nations agencies and NGOs on environmental, development, and youth education issues. In her talk, Dr. Gibb flips the tables on the audience, asking us all: in our work, travels and curiosity is there perhaps a voyeur in all of us? She draws from her own fieldwork to highlight the problematic and how we can all be more constructive in our approaches.
