Yoga for Back Pain - Seated. In today’s practice, we’ll explore poses for the back including seated Mountain pose. You’ll need a chair and a yoga block (or sub) for today’s class. Welcome to Bottoms Down Chair Yoga. I’m Carol and I’m happy you’ve chosen to spend this time together with me warming up to stretch, lengthen and strengthen your body. This 20 minute yoga practice includes poses to help increase strength in specific muscles and muscle groups which can help you reduce back pain and maintain a healthy spine. Healthy back muscles help the body maintain proper upright posture and movement which can help avoid or reduce back pain. We warm up gently and center our work on our breath and mindful movements to build strength and focus mindfully. You’ll need a chair and a yoga block (or sub). We’ll stay seated the entire time.
