The DC Metropolitan Police Department is asking for help from the public to identify nine people of interest involved in a robbery in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue SE on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 at about 3:20 a.m. Alicia Wood was on her way home from work at the gay bar, DC Eagle, when she was attacked by a group of teens, she told WUSA9. They beat her, and she tried to get away by running into a local gas station, a Citgo. She said the gas station employee didn't call 9-1-1, but employees later told WUSA9 they had handed the video of the inicdent over to police. Alicia Wood is a trans woman, who said she just hopes this never happens again.
