On January 6, 2021, 140 officers were assaulted at the U.S. Capitol, making it one of the most violent days for law enforcement in U.S. history. Four officers who responded to the Capitol attack have tragically died by suicide. On Day 1, President Trump pardons 1,500 rioters, including those who assaulted police.This is egregious action is a direct attack on the rule of law and a grave threat to our democracy.
